The Pensacola Fire Department says a house was heavily damaged by fire on Rothchild Drive off of Scenic Highway yesterday afternoon. Firefighters said one man was inside the home, but was able to make it out safely. He was taken to a local hospital and treated for smoke inhalation. The kitchen and living room of the home were damaged. The State Fire Marshal’s Office will be investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
