INMATE CHARGED WITH MURDER

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says a 42-year-old inmate at the Santa Rosa Correctional Institution in Milton has been arrested for killing his cellmate by strangling him and stomping on his throat. Jimmy Ray Carruthers has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 78-year-old David Kever back on July1st. Carruthers had been in prison since 1994, for sexual battery on a person younger than 12 years old and child abuse and would not have been released until 2021.
