The Pensacola News Journal is reporting that the Pensacola City Council will vote today on a resolution that could establish a new stormwater fee to pay for improvements to the city’s stormwater system. Mayor Grover Robinson told the Pensacola News Journal the vote will not set a new fee, but would give the Council the option to consider new fees to help pay for new stormwater construction projects. Robinson said the new stormwater projects and the options to pay for them will be presented to the City Council this spring or summer and if approved could appear on residents’ property tax bills in 2020.
