The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office says the pilot of a small, single-engine aircraft was killed in a crash Sunday morning at an airport in Milton. Santa Rosa County Sheriff’ s deputies were dispatched to Peter Prince Field on Highway 90 about 10:15 am and found the plane had crashed on airport property, killing the pilot, who was the sole occupant on the aircraft. The pilot’s identity has not yet been released and the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
