The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office has identified the pilot who was killed in a crash at an airport in Milton on Sunday. 38-year-old Matthew Platt, formerly of Navarre, died around 10 a.m. Sunday when the small, single-engine aircraft that he was piloting crashed at Peter Prince Airport off Highway 90. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration were conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
