BOMB TESTING ON EGLIN

The Air Force says live munitions on Range B-82 in the central section of the eastern half of the Eglin reservation will be detonated between 8 a.m. and noon tomorrow. The purpose is to test a new bomb fuse system that will eventually be used in smart weapons employed by both the Air Force and the Navy. The 53rd Wing Public Affairs office says the munitions will cause a loud boom in the surrounding Eglin and Hurlburt Field area.
