GULF COAST RADIO HOST PASSES AWAY

Local country radio host Skip Davis, the mid-afternoon host on NASH FM 105.5, in Fort Walton Beach passed away yesterday morning after a battle with cancer. Davis had been diagnosed with metastatic renal cell cancer earlier this year. Davis was a graduate of a Choctawhatchee High School and spent his entire 39-year radio career on the Gulf Coast and had been part of the Cumulus Radio Station Group since 1999 as program director, production director and on-air personality. Pete DeSimone, regional vice president, said, “We are deeply saddened by the news of Skip’s passing, and he will be missed by not only our team but the community he served.”
