If you are at least 16 years old, possess a valid driver’s license and an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and can swim 600 yards in a pool in 10 minutes or less, and run 1.5 miles on a track in 12 minutes or less, you might qualify to be a Pensacola Beach Lifeguard. The tryouts will take place at the University of West Florida Aquatic Center at 11am on Saturday, December 7th and Saturday, December 14th a.m. If you pass the physical tests and meet other requirements, you will be scheduled for an interview. If hired, starting pay is $14.57 per hour.
