CITY OF PENSACOLA CYBERATTACK

Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson said the city of Pensacola’s computer communication systems are undergoing a cyberattack. He said the attack began around 1:45 a.m. Saturday and has continued and has affected phones and email. Robinson said the city’s online pay systems has been affected by the cyberattack, and authorities are still evaluating if any personal information has been exposed. The Pensacola International Airport, 911 service and police and fire departments have not been affected. The FBI was notified and said it had not identified a connection between the cyberattack and the shooting at the Pensacola Naval Air Station on Friday.
