“KEEP THE WREATH GREEN” UPDATE

Escambia County Fire Rescue says a fifth red lightbulb has been placed on Escambia County’s “Keep the Wreath Green” fire safety wreath. That means five residential fires have occurred so far in December. The fifth fire occurred in the 1500 block of West Highway 4 in north Escambia County early Thursday morning. All residents escaped without injury because they had working smoke alarms and a dog alerted the family. The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
