Proposed changes to Okaloosa County’s ordinance that regulates floating structures and commercial vessels at Crab Island in Destin will be discussed at tomorrow’s County Commission meeting. The potential revisions include modifications to the county fee system for island businesses, as well as a requirement for commercial vessels and floating structures to pick up passengers from a properly permitted and licensed private commercial facility. Also, commercial vessels and floating structures may be required to equip propellers with cages to prevent sea grass damage.
