NEW PANAMA CITY STREET LIGHTS

Panama City commissioners have approved an emergency purchase of 30 street light fixtures and mounting assemblies to be installed on Beck Avenue and Bayside Avenue in the Saint Andrews area in the next 30 days. They will replace street lights destroyed in Hurricane Michael.  United Lighting and Supply Company was awarded the $50,700 contract. City Administrator Mark McQueen said Gulf Power, which owns the majority of the city’s street light fixtures, is very receptive to  exchanging the outdated halogen lighting with LED lighting.
