ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LAWSUIT

A lawsuit has been filed against a former teacher at Pensacola Beach Elementary School who wants to enroll her two children at the school. The lawsuit says the woman is mentally unstable and has made threats of gun violence against the school principal. The school filed a restraining order against Kelli Moyer in June after she tried to enroll her children at the school. An Escambia County judge denied the school’s request but ordered the woman to give up her gun and ordered the school to accept her two children as students and ordered that the school allow the woman on campus to attend events with her children. Moyer was employed as a first-grade teacher at PBES from August 2009 to June 2012. Her contract was not renewed in 2012.
