The federal court trial for five people – including two city employees, charged with conspiring to steal 5 million dollars from Lynn Haven – has been postponed until March. The defendants include former City Manager Michael White, Community Services Director David Horton, local business owners Josh Anderson and David White, and White’s sister, Shannon Rodriguez. The trial was postponed at the request of attorneys Barry Beroset (“Ba-Ros-Set”) who represents Michael White, and James White, who represents David White because Beroset will be out of town until January 23rd. White’s attorney says he needs more time to evaluate the large amount of evidence turned over by prosecutors as part of pre-trial discovery. The case has been rescheduled for the trial period that begins March 2nd.
