A 24-year-old man was arrested after fleeing from a traffic stop in Cantonment. Escambia County Sheriff’s Major Andrew Hobbs said a deputy attempted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle at Highway 29 and Muscogee Road, but the driver fled down Becks Lake Road before jumping from the car on Elder Lane and fleeing into a wooded area. River Sewell was eventually located by K-9 units from the Escambia County Road Prison and Century Correctional Institution. He has been  charged with grand theft auto, fleeing and eluding, petit theft, resisting arrest and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, and booked into the Escambia County Jail Tuesday on a $13,000 bond.
