DOG SHOOTER ARRESTED

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a Pensacola man has been arrested for shooting a dog. Deputies were called to the 1100 block of Concordia Boulevard where a woman said she was in her home when she heard gunshots. She came outside and two men said a man walking down the street was startled by her dog, pulled out a gun, fired three shots and ran away. The six-month-old pit bull had a gunshot wound in the leg and 40-year-old Jeremy Stallworth was arrested a short time later. Deputies found a 9mm gun on the street near the home. Stallworth was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, animal cruelty, and discharging a firearm in public.
