State Attorney Bill Eddins has decided not to run for reelection. Retiring after 4 terms as the State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit, Eddins said he was endorsing Chief Assistant State Attorney Greg Marcille’s for the position. Elected in 2004, Eddins succeeded Curtis Golden who was State Attorney for 36 years for the First Circuit which includes Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties. Marcille filed as a candidate for state attorney on Wednesday.
