If you want to become a Pensacola Beach Lifeguard, tryouts will be held this Saturday, February 1st at 11 a.m. at the University of West Florida Aquatic Center, in Building 72. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. They must also be able to swim 600 yards in a pool in 10 minutes or less and run 1.5 miles on a track in 12 minutes or less. Those who pass the physical tests will be scheduled for an interview.
