Pharmaceutical companies are working to develop a vaccine to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Over 100 deaths in China are believed to have been caused by the coronavirus and Chinese authorities say the new respiratory virus isn’t under control despite aggressive steps to limit the movement of millions of people who live in cities near the center of the outbreak. The coronavirus is believed to have emerged last month in a seafood and wildlife market in Wuhan, China, spreading from infected animals to humans. Doctors in China have started using a combination of drugs at hospitals on an experimental basis because developing new medicines and vaccines takes time. It will take at least a year to come up with a vaccine for the coronavirus.
