KEVIN SAUCIER JOINS WAHOOS

Escambia High graduate and 1980 World Series champion pitcher Kevin Saucier (“So-Shay”) has joined the Pensacola Blue Wahoos in a part time role as a baseball scout. Thee 63-year-old Saucier, won a World Series game, pitching in relief for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1980. He later pitched for the Detroit Tigers where he played his last game in 1982. Saucier retired after the 2019 season, where he worked as a scout for the St. Louis Cardinals for three seasons and prior to that, was a regional director with the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau.
