PERJURY ARREST

A man who accused an assistant state attorney of stalking him has been arrested and charged with perjury. 43-year-old Rico Hudson, was  released from prison last year after being sentenced to five years on a charge of domestic violence by strangulation. His case was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Nichole Lonergan. During his incarceration, Hudson filed 14 motions with the court stating Lonergan had knowingly made false statements while prosecuting his case and he filed a complaint against her with the Florida Bar. He also filed a formal complaint with the State Attorney’s office accusing Lonergan of harassment for stalking his Facebook page. No evidence was found to support his accusation and Hudson was booked into the Escambia County Jail on Monday with no bond.
