Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says the 45-day Gulf red snapper recreational season will start June 11th and extend through July 25th. The season will apply to those fishing from private recreational vessels in state and federal waters in the Gulf, and to charter vessels that don’t have a federal reef fish permit and are limited to fishing in state waters only. There could also be a fall reopening of the season if quota is still available.
