Pensacola Beach tolls will go cashless this summer with all traffic lanes using the electronic toll collection – either Sun Pass transponders or the toll-by-plate system. Escambia County would keep 92-cents of the one-dollar toll with the remaining 8-cents going to the Florida Department Of Ttransportation to fund the Sun Pass system. The agreement before the board today would have the switch occurring in April. The county will spend between $30,000 and $40,000 on road painting and new signs to inform drivers of the changes. The County Commission meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building at 221 Palafox Place.
