The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened yesterday afternoon. Deputies responded to a report of the shooting in the 4200 block of North Baylen Street around 4:30 p.m. While deputies were on their way to the scene, they were notified that victim had arrived at a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. The name of the victim has not yet been released and the investigation is continuing.
