The State Attorney’s Office says the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy and officers with the Milton Police Department officers were justified when they shot and killed a 34-year-old Milton man who had stolen a dump truck then attacked officers when they tried to arrest him. State Attorney Bill Eddins’ office reviewed the incident that happened on September 17th at the entrance to the Pensacola State College campus in Milton on Highway 90. The review determined that the use of force by the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s deputy and the officers from the Milton Police Department against Edward Guerrero were reasonable and justifiable under Florida law.
