The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Department says a male pedestrian was struck and killed while trying to cross Highway 98 in Destin Friday night. Deputies say it happened near Harbor Boulevard around 6:15 p.m. The pedestrian who was not at a crosswalk, tried to cross the highway when the vehicle hit him. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
