GASOLINE PRICES DECLINE

Gasoline prices continue to decline in Florida as they have around the world. Not only is the coronavirus causing a reduced demand, news of a price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia has forced the price of oil down further. Mark Jenkins, spokesman for the Triple “A” Auto Club, said Sunday’s average pump price in Florida was $2.28 a gallon, but might dip below $2.00 before the end of the week, which would be the lowest prices for crude oil since 2016. Two weeks ago, crude oil was more than $53 a barrel. By Sunday night, it briefly dipped below $30.
