Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody has activated Florida’s Price Gouging Hotline in response to the coronavirus. This follows the emergency declaration issued by Governor Ron DeSantis and covers items like protective masks, hand sanitizer, gel, wipes, surface cleaners, commercial cleaning supplies and other items. Violators of the price gouging statute are subject to fines of $1,000 per violation and up to a total of $25,000 for multiple violations committed in a single 24-hour period.
