Air Force Brigadier General Scott Cain, Commander of the 96th Test Wing, has declared a Public Health Emergency for Eglin Air Force Base. The declaration gives the base more ways to deal with the COVID-19 situation, as well as access to resources to protect the base, community, and military mission. There will be a decrease in activities or reduce hours of operation as conditions warrant. Base emergency services will continue to operate and Eglin hospital will be available for acute, emergency and inpatient services.
