ALABAMA SCHOOLS TO REMAIN CLOSED

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey said Alabama schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year. State School Superintendent Eric Mackey said parents should prepare for students to finish the school year through distance learning. Alabama’s public and private schools have been closed since March 19 to slow the spread of the coronavirus. Governor Ivey said after April 5th local school districts can decide to reopen buildings to staff as long as the state’s health orders are followed.
