1-10 CHECKPOINT

Under orders from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the Florida Highway Patrol has set up a checkpoint on Interstate-10 to monitor eastbound travelers from areas with significant COVID-19 cases. Drivers from Louisiana, New York, New Jersey or Connecticut will be pulled aside for screening and will be required to isolate for 14 days upon entry to Florida or for the duration of their visit, whichever is shorter, and they should be prepared for additional monitoring by the Florida Department of Health. Failure to complete the screening form and failure to follow any isolation or quarantine order from DOH are a violation of Florida law. Commercial vehicles are allowed to bypass the checkpoint.
