FLORIDA UNEMPLOYMENT APPLICATIONS

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said efforts are being made to correct problems for unemployed Floridians seeking to file for unemployment. DeSantis also said he has talked of allowing Disney World to directly file claims for their 43,000 employees who will be furloughed on April 19th. DeSantis also defended his own decision last week to declare WWE – the World Wrestling Entertainment – an essential business in Florida, allowing the company to resume live TV shows – with no audience – from its Orlando training facility. The governor said another goal is to restart NASCAR racing soon, again without a crowd in attendance.
