RE-OPEN FLORIDA TASK FORCE MEETING

The first meeting of Governor Ron DeSantis’ Re-Open Florida Task Force was held by a conference call yesterday. Task force members discussed what it will take to reopen the State’s economy in a safe way. One proposal would open some businesses in May while still maintaining social distancing through methods like putting workers on different shifts. All agreed that workers and customers need to feel safe. The 22 members of the Re-Open Florida Task Force includes Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez, cabinet members, legislators, representatives from business, education, and several mayors. They are expected to meet daily with the final meeting planned for Friday.
