PARK SERVICE OPENS JOHNSON BEACH

Gulf Islands National Seashore will reopen Rosamond Johnson Beach on Perdido Key on Saturday. The three parking lots in the Opal Beach Complex on Santa Rosa Island will also reopen. However, Fort Pickens and Fort Barrancas will remained closed for now. Park Superintendent Dan Brown said the park’s areas in Mississippi including Davis Bayou, Petit Bois, West Petit Bois, Horn and Ship Islands, as well as park-owned portions of Cat Island, will also remained closed.
