The National Hurricane Center has issue4. d a special tropical weather forecast saying there is a possibility a subtropical system may form this weekend in the Atlantic near the Bahamas. The center says there is a 50% chance of the system gaining some tropical characteristics over the next five days. However, if a tropical system does form it is expected to move away from Florida and into the open Atlantic. The past five hurricane seasons have had tropical cyclones form prior to the official June 1st start date of the Atlantic hurricane season.
