The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released new guidelines for schools to safely re-open while dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. Some of the guidelines include face coverings for all staff members – Cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces daily – Canceling of field trips, events, and extracurricular activities -Spacing desks 6 ft. apart and facing the same direction – Closing cafeterias and serving pre-packaged meals in classrooms and spacing one student in every other row on school buses. The Florida Department of Education has not yet released recommendations for public schools in Florida.
