A residential fire in the Driftwood Estates area of Santa Rosa Beach in South Walton County is being called “suspicious” by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. Firefighters responded to the fire at 301 East Shipwreck Road around 2pm. The occupant of the rental home was taken in for medical evaluation and questioning. The owners of the home were notified and no firefighters were injured. An investigation was conducted by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
