NEW FISHING BOAT MANUFACTURING COMPANY

A vacant warehouse complex at the Port of Pensacola may be the site of a South Florida-based fishing boat manufacturing company. The Pensacola City Council will vote today on a 10-year lease for Streamline Boats out of Hialeah, Florida, which builds center-console fishing boats. Under the proposed lease, the company would pay $127,875 per year for the first five years of the lease and $255,000 each year for the second five-years. The company would be responsible for completing the construction of two warehouses that were abandoned halfway through construction by an oil industry company that went bankrupt.
