PENSACOLA PUBLIC POOLS OPEN

Public pools in the City of Pensacola are open but CDC guidelines will have to be followed. Regional aquatics director Kristin Strickland said those who wish to enter facilities like Roger Scott and Cecil T. Hunter Pool, will have to answer a series of questions about possible contact with COVID-19. Around the pool deck, chairs and tables are spaced 6 feet apart and pools will only be at 50% of their normal capacity. There will also be enhanced cleaning and disinfecting every three hours. The CDC has reported that there is no evidence COVID-19 can spread through water in a pool, but they still recommend social distancing.
