A 32-year-old Okaloosa County woman has been arrested for failing to report sexual abuse of a child while she was living in Tennessee. The report states sometime between 2017 and 2019, while riding in the backseat of a car belonging to Samantha Leigh Cockrell, a male friend of hers physically molested the child. Cockrell says she confronted the man, but did not report the incident to law enforcement because she was using drugs at the time and did not want to lose her children. Cockrell was arrested Saturday and taken to Okaloosa County Jail.
