ARREST MADE IN FATAL BOATING INCIDENT

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says a 26-year-old man has been arrested for boating under the influence following the death of a wake boarder who was struck and killed by a boat on Bayou Texar in Pensacola over the weekend The victim – 25-year-old Brandon “BJ” Harmon, from Lawrenceville, Georgia – played baseball at the University of West Florida. Walker O’Connor, was arrested Sunday and was booked into the Escambia County Jail on a $1,000 bond. Assistant State Attorney Greg Marcille said prosecutors were reviewing the case to determine if additional charges will be filed.
