BAY COUNTY HIGH-SPEED CHASE ARREST

Bay County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man who stole a vehicle in Carroll County, Georgia, then led them on a chase that ended with him crashing into an ice cream shop. Deputies attempted to stop the stolen vehicle – driven by 28-year-old Devante Sanders – but he refused to stop, eventually losing control of the vehicle on Thomas Drive, overturning several times before and crashing into Brusters Real Ice Cream, on Palms Boulevard, causing significant damage to the building. Sanders was booked into the Bay County Jail on charges of aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting without violence, and driving with license suspected or revoked.
