DESTIN SEAWALL REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Work to replace the unstable seawall at Clement Taylor Park in Destin is underway and is be completed no later than September 30th. The 3.4-acre park on Calhoun Avenue is next to Choctawhatchee Bay and the seawall was heavily damaged by storm surge from Hurricane Michael. The $250,000 project will be paid for with money from FEMA. The seawall, most of the park and portions of its parking lot will be closed during construction, but the children’s playground and nearby pavilion will remain open for public use.
