Larry Keefe, U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Florida, says he has tested positive for COVID-19. Keefe said he has mild symptoms so far, is still managing the office remotely while self-isolating. The Northern District handles federal crimes from Pensacola to Gainesville. Keefe, is the first prominent government official in Tallahassee to announce he contracted the virus and says he likely got it while in Charleston, South Carolina, to be with his youngest son, Patrick, who had surgery for a brain tumor.
