MASK WEARING RECOMMENDED

Pensacola Mayor Grover Robinson is recommending that Escambia and Santa Rosa counties require the use of masks by customers and employees of businesses outside the city limits of Pensacola, Milton and Gulf Breeze. All three cities are now requiring the use of masks inside of businesses. Escambia County District 4 Commissioner Robert Bender said he didn’t believe issuing a mask ordinance was the right move because it would be impossible to enforce. The Pensacola City Council will have a special meeting today to consider passing its own emergency mask ordinance that would fine violators $50 for the first violation and up to $500 for a fourth violation and the potential 60-day jail sentence.
