JET SKI FATALITY IDENTIFIED

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has identified the woman who died after a collision of two jet skis Saturday night in Santa Rosa Sound. 21-year-old Melly Johannes, of Brandon, Mississippi, was pronounced dead at Baptist Hospital following the crash. Johannes was riding on a jet ski with 28-year-old Ebrahim Alshatabbi, also of Mississippi, when they collided with another jet ski, shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday close to Quietwater Beach. The driver of the second jet ski was not injured. No criminal charges have yet been filed.
