Three inmates at the Escambia County Jail and two inmates at the Santa Rosa County Jail have tested positive for COVID-19. 12 correctional officers at the Escambia County Jail are now COVID-19 positive, while Santa Rosa County Jail has one detention center officer who tested positive. Escambia County says its three inmates are in a medical unit and are not presenting medical concerns. Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson says the two positive inmates in Santa Rosa County are being held in isolation cells.
