The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners is looking for residents in District 2 and 3 in Escambia County who are interested in volunteering for an appointment to the Escambia County Disability Awareness Committee. The committee has seven voting members who must be Escambia County residents. Each commissioner appoints one member to the committee, who serves during the appointing commissioner’s term. There are four meetings a year on the third Wednesday of the month. The committee makes recommendations to the board regarding issues concerning the disabled community.
