CITY SETTLES WRONGFUL DEATH LAWSUIT

The City of Pensacola and the family of Tymar Crawford have reached a settlement for Crawford’s death on July 5^th of last year. Crawford was shot and killed after being pulled over by Pensacola Police Officer Daniel Siemen, who has since been fired for violating the City’s use of deadly force policies. The settlement amount was the maximum allowed by Florida law. A law enforcement expert has since been brought in by Pensacola Police to conduct mandatory diversity and cultural training for all officers.
