The Florida Department of Health says there were 9,446 new COVID-19 cases in the state yesterday bringing the total to 451,423. Florida also added 216 deaths – a new single-day high. The total deaths in Florida are now 6,456. Escambia County ha6. d 179 new cases and 3 deaths – Santa Rosa County had 180 new cases, but no new deaths – Okaloosa County reported 95 new cases and 2 new deaths and Walton County had 25 new cases and no new deaths. The Escambia County deaths were men ages 65, 83 and 95 and all were long-term care facility residents.
